Our Story

A Little About Us

Jonathan Marry is a second generation pig farmer in Dowth, near Drogheda in Co. Louth.  He runs the farm established by his Father Jack in the 1970’s. While undertaking a daily visit to the creamery as a young man Jack realised there was an over-supply of milk, this led him into pig farming. Over the next 40 years Jack became one of Ireland’s most respected and influential pig farmers, pioneering many methods that improved quality and animal welfare.

Farm to Fork Guarentee

At, we are proud to be recognised as one of the finest farm to fork catering services. All of the herbs and vegetables that we put into our salads are organic. Grown on our farm in Drogheda.

The type of pig we use which is a Landrace Largewhite cross and a danish duroc as the sire(male). The pigs selected for out BBQ are only pure line females. These are the most tender and succulent delivering the tastiest favours when we marinate with our sauce and season before we start cooking and every hour after.

Over the years PigSpit have worked extensively within the Corporate Sector across Ireland catering for Fun Days, Christmas Parties, Staff Away Days, Customer Appreciation Events and lots more for groups of 40 – 1500.
